Situated in the heart of the 3 valleys, Meribel offers an extensive network of runs for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The 3 valleys, consisting of Courchevel, Meribel and Val Thorens/Les Menuires offers over 600 km of linked pistes going up to a height of 3230m with 80% being over 1800m and Meribel is in an ideal position to take advantage of all the 3 valleys has to offer. Its sheltered setting means its good selection of blues and reds leading into resort are protected by the steep-sided mountains and enjoy more settled weather conditions than in the adjacent broader valleys.
For beginners, the gentle green slopes at Altiport and the nursery slopes at Rond Point make good starting points. The altiport also has 2 excellent fun runs for children and adults alike, the animal run and the inuit run, which has lots of surprises to discover to keep you interested.
For intermediates there is an almost limitless choice of runs with the majority of the three valley slopes being either blue or red, ensuring that you can ski a whole week without skiing the same run twice if you don’t want to though some of the runs are so good you will want to ski them again and again, Coombe de Vallon, George Mauduit and Jerusalem to name but a few. For the more experienced there are plenty of challenging black runs, couloirs, mogul runs and of course off piste skiing.
The three valleys boast a fantastic lift system with modern and fast running lifts ensuring minimum queuing time and maximum ski time. Meribel also has an extensive snow cannon system with 2000 snow cannons making it a very snow sure resort.
Lift Passes
We want your holiday to be as hassle free as possible. That is why we recommend that you pre-order your lift passes with us so that we can deliver them to you when you arrive in resort to avoid the hassle of having to queue up on your first day of skiing. We will also be able to advise you on the best passes to get for your group and how to get the most discount available to you.
We generally recommend that you get a three valley pass as this represents the best value for money and will allow you to get the most out of the amazing skiing on offer. However a Meribel valley pass on its own also offers very extensive skiing possibilities and can be a good option for beginners and intermediates who want to explore the Meribel valley. With a Meribel valley pass you have the option of upgrading to all of the 3 valleys whenever you want but please be aware that if you upgrade more than once it is better value to buy a Three Valley pass to start off with.
Lift passes do not require a photograph.

For all your equipment hire we strongly recommend that you pre-book as resort prices are higher than internet prices. There are many equipment hire places in Meribel but we only recommend one, Slide Candy, as they offer very good equipment and a great service and will deliver and collect from our chalets.

We highly recommend that you pre-book your ski/board lessons as early as possible, particularly for school holiday periods. Please make sure that you mention where and with whom (e.g. Chalet Sardonnere with Summit Chalets) you are staying when booking so that the school can liaise with us. The flexibility and friendliness of the service provided by Bettina and her team means that all your needs are well catered. We keep saying we should try another resort, but with chalets like Sardonnere offering such good value, we can’t bring ourselves to abandon Meribel.

I’d highly recommend summit chalets. Meribel is a fantastic place to ski with loads of variety, and snow cannons that mean even if the weather isn’t perfect, you still get good skiing. La Petite Cachée is a lovely chalet ideally located in Les Allues with very nice views. The gondola is 2mins away by car, we prefered to drive directly to Meribel Centre as it was only an additional 10mins drive. After a full day of skiing in the largest european ski domain, we very much enjoyed spending the rest of our time in the chalet as it was a very spacious, warm and comfortable place. Bettina is also very responsive and is very helpful in ensuring the organisation of the trip is as smooth as possible. Definitely recommend and will want to come again!

We had the most incredible stay with Summit Chalets, hosted by Bettina and Jerry, at Chalet Sardonnere in Méribel, and it truly exceeded every expectation. The chalet itself was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully laid out, making it perfectly suited for our family. We especially loved the open-concept living and dining space on the main floor. We opted for full catering with Jerry as our chef, and his meals were hands-down the highlight of the trip, every dish was outstanding. Bettina was equally exceptional. Her knowledge of the area and attention to detail ensured our week ran seamlessly. Both Bettina and Jerry are warm, attentive, and genuinely kind people. By the end of the week, they felt more like family than hosts.
