Definitions
"The Client(s)" - includes all individuals named on the booking form and/or any booking taken from a business, firm or corporate entity.
"Accomodation" - includes a chalet and any part thereof or other premises provided for such purpose.
"Party Leader" - includes the person signing the booking form and/or any business, firm or corporate entity making or placing a booking and/or any person signing on behalf of the business, firm or corporate entity.
Contract
A contract exists between Summit Chalets and the Client(s) once a deposit, of 25% of the full payment (total cost), and the booking form has been completed, returned and received by Summit Chalets. The Party Leader guarantees payment in full of the total cost and does so on behalf of and with the consent of all others for whom the booking is made.
Payment
Full payment must be made at least 8 weeks prior to arrival. For bookings made within 8 weeks of arrival, the full payment must accompany the booking form. All telephone, and email bookings will be held for 1 week pending receipt of completed booking forms and deposits.
Prices
The prices stated within the brochure for catered accommodation are for one week (7 nights) accommodation and include dinner on 6 nights, breakfast on 7 mornings (with a light breakfast on day of departure). Prices do not include travel, holiday and medical insurance, ski pass, equipment hire, ski lessons, lunches and evening meal on chalet host night off. The prices stated within the brochure for self catering accommodation are for one week (7 nights) accommodation only but do include bedlinen, towels, heating, electricity and gas. Prices do not include the security deposit, meals, travel, holiday and medical insurance, ski pass, equipment hire, ski lessons, daily cleaning or final clean. On leaving the self catering chalet or apartment it is expected that it will be cleaned and left in the condition as found. Failure to do so will result in monies being deducted from your security deposit.
Arrival and Departure Times
The chalets will be available to incoming guests after 4pm on day of arrival, although we will endeavor to have the chalet ready earlier only if previously requested for and agreed by Summit Chalets. The chalet must be vacated on day of departure by 10am.
Insurance
Insurance is an essential condition of booking. Evidence of adequate travel and holiday insurance cover for each person on the booking form must be provided to Summit Chalets at least 8 weeks prior to arrival or at the time of booking if later. Summit Chalets reserves the right to terminate the booking and impose cancellation charges in the event that such evidence is not provided.
Cancellations
Cancellations by the Client:
All cancellations must be made in writing by the Party Leader. The following cancellation charges apply:

Cancellations by Summit Chalets:
Summit Chalets reserves the right to cancel your holiday without refund as a result of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control which include but are not limited to acts of God, force majeure, war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, acts of government, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire, closure of ports & airports or similar events.
Alterations
If you wish to alter any details of your booking the Party Leader must request this in writing. Alterations may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation charges applied at the discretion of Summit Chalets. Any alterations to the booking will not waiver or alter these terms and conditions and they will continue to apply with full effect.
Delays
Summit Chalets shall not be liable for any delays prior to arrival at your Accommodation or during the course of any holiday brought about by weather conditions, strikes, traffic congestion or any other circumstances whatsoever, whether foreseen or unforeseen.
Responsibilities
You are responsible for your own insurance, travel documents and travel arrangements. Transport, hotels, restaurants, sports and activity providers and other similar services are not under our control and we therefore shall not be liable for any act or omission on their part. Clients undertake to behave in such a way, as not to disrupt the enjoyment of others or damage the reputation of Summit Chalets. Summit Chalets reserves the right to terminate without compensation or refund the holiday of any person not upholding these conditions and we shall have no further obligation to that person. Any damage to the chalet or its contents will be charged to the client, in catered chalets it must be settled before departure and in self catered accommodation it will be deducted from your security deposit.
Lost and Stolen Property
In the event that guests lose or leave items in the chalet, no responsibility will be accepted if the property is not recovered or returned. Summit Chalets cannot accept any responsibility for theft either from the chalet or at any other time during your holiday. Any client not properly securing the chalet upon leaving will be held liable for any property taken as a result of that negligence.
Ski Hosting
A ski companion service around the Three Valleys is available to guests of Summit Chalets (please note this is NOT ski guiding) It must be noted that this free social service may have to be withdrawn due to Force Majeure e.g. hangovers, bone idleness or ski companion stating “if you think I am going out in this!”
Outdoor Shoes
It is important that a pair of slippers or indoor shoes are included in your packing as outdoor shoes are strictly forbidden within the chalets.
Smoking
For health and safety reasons smoking is not permitted within the chalet.
Children
No matter how much care is taken, skiing chalets are not child proof. We will not be held responsible for any accidents occurring within the chalets, it is the parent's responsibility to ensure their children are supervised at all times. Young children can be given an early supper which we ask parents to help supervise.
Other Clients
Summit Chalets reserves the right to have other Clients staying in the chalet unless the entire chalet is booked.
Refunds
No refunds in respect of meals not taken will be given.
Complaints
Should you have cause for complaint, you should make it known to a local Summit Chalets representative at the earliest opportunity in order that we may take whatever action we consider to be appropriate without delay. If at the end of your holiday you feel that your complaint has not been dealt with satisfactorily you must notify us in writing within 30 days of your scheduled date of return and we will do our best to resolve the issue.
Indemnity
The Party Leader signing the booking form accepts these conditions on behalf of the Client(s) and shall be responsible for all actions, loss, damages & costs caused by any Client(s). They shall indemnify Summit Chalets against any claims incl. legal costs made against the company by any person.
Website & Brochure Information
Summit Chalets makes every effort to ensure that the information provided on their website summitchalets.com and in any literature is accurate at the time of publication. The company reserves the right to make changes and alterations and you will be informed whenever possible before your booking is confirmed.
Jurisdiction
These conditions and any contract to which they apply are governed and construed in accordance with English law and are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. All disputes arising from the interpretation, fulfilment, non-fulfilment or application of this contract will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
